"Green Marathon" - Shamkir, Goygol, Agdash districts

Under the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, the next tree-planting campaigns were held within the framework of the "National Greening Marathon" ("Green Marathon").

On April 7, with the participation of volunteer youth, 3,300 trees were planted in the Shamkir district, 3,333 trees in the Goygol district, and 250 trees in the Agdash district, consisting of various species suited to the soil and climatic conditions of the areas.

The main goal of the project, organized jointly by the IDEA Public Union and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, is to increase green spaces, promote tree planting, contribute to environmental protection, enhance the country's floral biodiversity, and raise awareness about the preservation of greenery.

The IDEA Public Union, which places special importance on increasing green areas, playing an irreplaceable role in improving the overall ecological situation and minimizing the impacts of climate change, continues large-scale tree-planting events in other districts of the country together with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.

The project partners, aiming to plant nearly 1 million trees nationwide during the spring and autumn seasons, call on everyone to support this initiative and unite for the green future of our nature.
