Within the framework of the “Yaşıl söhbət klubu” project, the next meeting was held.

The IDEA Public Union, which implements large-scale projects aimed at engaging young people in environmental issues, encouraging their contribution to environmental protection, and involving them in the fight against ecological problems, held its next meeting within the framework of the “Green Conversation Club” project.
The meeting took place on November 25 at the Resource Center of the IDEA Public Union located at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the participation of nearly 30 young people.
This time, the club’s topic was dedicated to wastefulness and excessive consumption. Subsequently, the young participants held extensive discussions on the economical use of natural resources, reuse, and recycling for the sake of environmental protection, watched short videos related to the topic, shared their impressions, and exchanged views on ways to combat these environmental problems in everyday life.
Representatives of the Embassy of the United States in Azerbaijan and the Turkish International School of Azerbaijan (TISA) took part as special guests of the club, sharing their views and experiences on the topic with the young participants.
The IDEA Public Union launched the Green Conversation Club project in June 2012 with the aim of improving young ecologists’ knowledge of environmental issues and enhancing their foreign language (English) proficiency. From its very first day, the Green Conversation Club has served as a comfortable educational space where students and young professionals studying in the fields of environment and sustainable development engage in conversations in English.
