On April 29, a community cleanup was organized in educational institutions within the framework of the “Spring Yard” project.

The purpose of the “Spring Yard” project, implemented by the Ministry of Education and the IDEA Public Union with the support of the "Bir" Student-Volunteer Program, is to raise awareness among students about environmental protection.

The project is carried out in higher education institutions, primary vocational and secondary specialized schools, as well as general education institutions across 48 districts and cities. By May 1, nearly 12,000 saplings allocated to educational institutions will be planted in their schoolyards.

Additionally, as part of the “Spring Yard” project, a competition will be held in 26 general education institutions in Baku, Ganja, and Sumgait. According to the competition rules, selected schools will clean their schoolyard areas, plant greenery, and lime the trunks of trees with the participation of the teaching staff, students, and student volunteers. At the end of the project, the winner will be determined by representatives of the Ministry of Education, the IDEA Public Union, and the "Bir" Student-Volunteer Program.
