World Meteorological Day

In 1961, the World Meteorological Organization decided to observe March 23 as World Meteorological Day. The purpose of celebrating this day is to draw attention to the importance of meteorology and meteorological services in safeguarding public health. Every year on this day, a new slogan is chosen to explain to people the significance of the 38 meteorological services.
