A species of bird belonging to the family of Corvidae of the order of the Corvidae of the class of birds. It is widespread in Azerbaijan, and lives mainly in slow-flowing or calm freshwater.
It is slightly larger than a sparrow. Its upper body is bluish-green, the upper tail is bright blue, and its throat is ochre-whitish. Its body is rusty-brown underneath. Its beak is reddish. Its flight is fast, it flaps its wings frequently. It feeds on small fish and aquatic insects.
