Zangezur National Park

A species of ruminant animal belonging to the family Boshbuynuzlular of the order Artiodactyls of the class Mammalia. It is found in the Karabakh plateau, Shahdag and Murovdag ranges, Zangezur and Deralayaz mountain ranges in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Nehramdag, Ilanlıdag and Darıdag. D.s. It is distributed at altitudes of 1500 m and higher.

The height of an adult goat is 130-180 cm, the tail length is 15-20 cm and the mass is 50-85 kg. The mass of the female is 35-60 kg. Their tails are short, erect and flattened, the underside is bare. The soles of the toes are adapted to clinging to very rough and flat rock surfaces. The maximum length of the horns in males is 132 cm, and in females 20-25 cm. Males are silvery-white in color, with a black stripe running along their backs. Females are brown all year round, with a black stripe running along their backs.

During the breeding season, females live at the foot of the mountains relative to older males. Older females give birth to 2, young ones to 1, rarely 3 cubs.
