A species of bird belonging to the family of Gulls of the order of the order of the birds. It is a coastal bird found mainly on the coast of the Caspian Sea and in lagoons.
The body length varies between 39-47 cm, and the wingspan is 97 cm. The head is white, the wings and back are gray. The tips of the wings are black, and the tail has black and white stripes. The beak is yellow-orange, and the legs are yellow.
They nest in colonies in lagoons, small islands near the coast, and salt lakes. Females lay 2-3 eggs. They feed on small fish and various crustaceans.
