A species of bird belonging to the Passerine family of the Passerine order. It is found in most regions of Azerbaijan, mainly in mountainous and foothill zones.

They build their nests in closed places - in caves, in rock crevices, under tree roots. They have 4–6 white, sometimes speckled eggs. They lay eggs twice a year. In summer, they feed on chicks they catch from the air, and in winter on berries.
