International Youth Environmental Camp is Underway

The Camp is organized jointly by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, IDEA campaign and Nature Friends Public Union, in accordance with the priority action plan of 2013-2014 socio-humanitarian cooperation of CIS countries.

The project aims to strengthen the ecological thinking in our country and the region, increase the responsibility of youth for ecology and environment and give impetus to implementation of ecological projects in Azerbaijan.

Seminars on familiarizing with ecological projects in Azerbaijan, sustainable waste management, eco-volunteerism, ecotourism, eco-conflict, preservation of wildlife and specially protected areas, as well as group and role games and ecological actions were held within the Camp.

The camp is held in phases in Baku and Ismayilli region. It involves nearly 80 youths from Azerbaijan, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
