Project One Drop advocates for the preservation of even a single droplet today to ensure a sustainable water supply for the future! Under the umbrella of the One Drop initiative, designed to raise public awareness about the responsible use of water, educational workshops are being conducted in secondary schools situated in the capital city and its surrounding areas.

The driving forces behind this project are the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, AzerSu, Azerbaijan Amelioration and Water Farm Open Joint Stock Company and the IDEA.

The One Drop campaign, which has been ongoing for an extended period, focuses on fostering habits of efficient water usage within the nation. The primary objective of forthcoming activities is to educate elementary school students in secondary schools located in the capital and border regions.

To achieve this goal, project organizers have visited secondary schools, engaging with students in grades 3-6 and delivering comprehensive presentations on the significance of water conservation.

The planning of trips on the eve of April 15, recognized as the Day of Environmental Knowledge, aims to enlighten schoolchildren about the importance of safeguarding the natural resources bestowed upon us.

During these presentations, students were enlightened about the campaign's objectives, the importance of utilizing water efficiently, practical tips for saving water in daily life, and potential future threats. Participants in the project, attending these school meetings, were equipped with the book One Drop, a repository of knowledge regarding the importance of responsible water usage, along with various souvenir gifts.

Additionally, during interactions with students, organizers introduced a drawing competition incorporated into the project, encouraging students to participate and showcase their creativity for a chance to win prizes.

The forthcoming meetings, continuing in the upcoming days, will involve members of the eco-club, operating under the Republican Center for the Development of Children and Youth of the Ministry of Science and Education, across 20 schools. It is worth mentioning that educational posters were previously distributed to schools as part of the project.

The execution of the One Drop campaign is overseen by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Water Resources Agency of Azerbaijan, and the IDEA Public Association.
