Project Summer Yard

The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, IDEA Public Union, and the student volunteer program Bir have embarked on the implementation of the Summer Yard"project aimed at greening school yards. Within the framework of the project, students and pupils will plant trees in schools, take care of plants, carry out landscaping activities in the yards, and conduct other beautification events. In addition, IDEA will provide special bird nests to each educational institution participating in the project.

The Summer Yard project will cover 15 higher and 26 secondary educational institutions in the cities of Baku, Ganja, and Sumgayit. In addition to the positive impact on the ecological condition of educational institutions and the health of students, the mentioned initiative will contribute to deepening the environmental knowledge of schoolchildren and students and instilling in them a careful attitude towards nature.

Within the project, which will run from April 12 to May 1, activities such as cleaning school yards, greening, liming of tree trunks, and other works are planned. At the end of the project, winners will be determined and awarded by the Ministry of Education, IDEA, and the Bir student volunteer program.
