Reintroduction of Jeyran

Within the framework of this project, 406 Jeyrans (Goitered Gazelle) were reintroduced to 8 different National Parks across the country.
Jeyran, (Goitered Gazelle) a graceful goitered gazelle, once roamed the vast plains of Shirvan National Park with her young, teaching them how to survive and thrive. One day, she and her calves were carefully relocated to Ağgöl National Park—a new home with open spaces and fresh grazing areas.
In this new environment, Jeyran adapted quickly, guiding her calves as they explored their surroundings. Her growing family has contributed to restoring the gazelle population across Azerbaijan. Jeyran’s journey is a story of hope and resilience, showing that with protection, nature always finds a way to flourish.
