Eco Labs

Launched in 2015, the Eco Laboratory for Kids - a program jointly carried out by IDEA and Sevimli Bala Club - continues to educate children about the natural world, with a view to nurture a sense of responsibility towards the environment in kids from the early ages. The Eco Lab is a monthly training session that takes place in IDEA’s resource centers in Baku and Ganja. Sessions consist of theoretical and practical learning on various environmental themes and feature various lab experiments, quizzes and exciting games. Over 1000 kids aged 5 to 11, including children from low-income families and orphanages, have so far attended the sessions. Since 2017, IDEA has added numerous new topics and fun eco activities to its Eco Lab program. A special emphasis was made on informing kids about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how they can get involved in the global plan of action for people, planet, and prosperity.
