“Reuse for the Environment” youth summer camp

IDEA campaign, with the support of the Executive Power of the Göyçay district, USA Education, and the Ecology Department of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), and organized by the “Göyçay Development Center” Public Union, will implement the youth summer camp “Reuse for the Environment”.

The purpose of the camp is to help young people spend their summer vacation effectively, encourage them to take responsibility for the cleanliness of the city they live in, increase their environmental awareness, and provide them with ecological knowledge.

During the camp, young participants will be taught that the amount of waste entering the environment should not exceed nature’s ability to decompose and neutralize it. Various engaging learning methods will be used by experienced trainers to explain the seriousness of the waste problem to the 30 young people selected through the competition.

All activities planned within the camp will focus on clean ecology, a zero-waste environment, and a healthy lifestyle. In addition, presentations will be given to young participants about the dangers plastic materials pose to the environment.

It should be noted that at the end of the camp, participants will visit SOCAR’s ecopark located in the Gala settlement of Baku city, where they will familiarize themselves with SOCAR’s ecological projects and receive information about alternative energy and other modern technologies used in the ecopark.
