Young Beekeeper

Bees, Hope and a New Beginning! 

As pollinators, bees play an essential role in the protection of biodiversity, and beekeeping is considered the most environmentally safe and beneficial type of agriculture. In 2021, IDEA launched a joint project with the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation, supported by State Employment Agency and ABAD, titled “Young Beekeeper”, which provides for the establishment of apiaries for young families in rural areas, by organizing a 2-month training on beekeeping for families and providing them with the necessary inventory. The aim of the project is to promote the spread of beekeeping as a type of eco-entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan, and thus to support preservation of biodiversity.
