Restoring Hope & Purpose- One Beach Cleanup at a Time!

Pollution and contamination are having a severely detrimental effect on the health of the marine environment. That is why IDEA holds regular activities aimed at cleaning and restoring the polluted coastal areas, as well as encouraging the public to support such efforts. Each year multiple cleanups are held on the coast of the Caspian Sea - before and after the beach season. These cleanup events are attended by hundreds of our young volunteers, in cooperation with multiple institutions. The mass events have resulted in the collection of tons of trash, subsequently taken to the Balakhani Solid Waste Sorting Facility for recycling. More active youth join our events each year to help make our coastal areas cleaner, but more importantly send a strong message to the wider public on the harmful effects of pollution.
