“The 12 Wonders of Azerbaijan” Documentary Series

IDEA’s documentary film series about each of the country’s twelve national parks - aims to promote the fascinating natural beauties of Azerbaijan, both within the country and abroad, and to highlight the importance of protecting our natural treasures. 

On the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, 8 documentaries on national parks by film director Igor Bishnyov have already been produced up to date, presented and shown on national TV channels. The films are freely available on IDEA’s YouTube channel. 

It should be noted that the national parks included within the project called “The 12 Wonders of Azerbaijan” reflect the diverse geographical regions and ecosystems of our country. These include Aghgol, Shirvan, Hirkan, Altiaghaj, Absheron, Shahdag, Goygol, Samur-Yalama, Gizilaghaj, Akhar-Bakhar, Ilisu, and Zangezur National Parks named after Academician Hasan Aliyev. These parks are of great importance for the preservation and promotion of Azerbaijan’s rich natural heritage.
