A New Yard within Our Yard Project
Under the guidance of Leyla Aliyeva, another yard was opened as part of the Our yard Project.
October 20 became a significant date for the residents as they gained access to the renovated yard thanks to the efforts of the IDEA Public Union. On this day, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Leyla Aliyeva, attended the opening of the yard and participated in a mass tree planting event organized as part of the initiative.
The new yard is located in the Binagadi district, at 12-21 Hamza Babashov Street, where approximately 3000 people reside.
The main goal of the Our Yard Project is to create clean and well-maintained yards, restore greenery that plays an important role in the city's ecology, and promote a healthy lifestyle by providing a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
The newly renovated yard provides facilities for people with disabilities and opportunities for the physical development of children of different ages. Additionally, sports grounds, children's play areas, a mini-football stadium with artificial turf, and a chess area have been added. Benches, waste containers, birdhouses, and cat houses have also been installed.
Taking into account the residents' wishes, new lampposts and surveillance cameras have been installed. Facades and building blocks have been repaired, asphalt covering and roofs have been updated, and the electrical supply system has been reconstructed.
Alongside the restoration of greenery, 350 trees and 3750 shrubs have been planted, creating a green strip covering an area of 3000 square meters. "Green fences" have also been created by planting densely growing common ivy and other plants capable of effectively purifying the air from pollutants.
