Saving Environment for Current and future Generations Summer School

The opening of the summer school “Protecting the environment for the sake of present and future generations”, organized jointly by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the IDEA (International Dialogue for the Environment) campaign, took place.

As part of the project, about 50 young people will give lectures during the week and get acquainted with the work done in order to widely promote ideas about the importance of environmental protection among students and graduates of higher educational institutions.

The participants of the summer school were informed about the environmental policy of Azerbaijan, climate change, measures implemented in the field of environmental protection, household waste management, environmental monitoring methodology, environmental protection of the Caspian Sea, determining the destructive impact on the environment in the occupied territories, etc. Lectures will be given and excursions will be organized.

The goal of the project is to increase the knowledge and skills of young people in the field of ecology and safety, increase the level of environmental culture of the younger generation, and involve the public in the joint protection of the environment.
