Ecological summer camp was jointly held by IDEA Public Union, Azerbaijan office of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the framework of the program entitled “Reintroduction of gazelles into their historical habitat in the Caucasus”. Held from 10th to 12th of June in the village of Ilisu of the Gakh district, the summer camp was attended by over 30 school children from the Gakh and Sheki districts.
On 20 May 2015, another meeting was held at IDEA Public Union’s Resource Center in the framework of the project “Road to Success” launched in the month of April.
On March 18, IDEA Public Union and the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan jointly launched the second phase of “Let’s turn papers into leaves” project devoted to the nationwide collection of used paper products.
Within the framework of bilateral cooperation between IDEA and “Sevimli bala”, a joint project entitled “Ecological laboratory for children” was launched in January 2015. The Project is designed for the children aged 5-12 and features a series of enlightening events on environmental issues.
The Green Marathon, initiated by Mrs. Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and founder and head of IDEA Public Union, was launched on November 5, 2014.
The main goal of the project is to form and develop in children from an early age a feeling of love for leopards, inform them about the lifestyle of these unique species of animals, their habitats, and the need to protect leopards.
