First Ever Green Week Starts in Azerbaijan

Green Week started with the first ever International Youth Forum which was held in Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy. The forum discussed the overall results of the RIO +20 summit which was held in June, 2012.

Saving Environment for Current and future Generations Summer School

Environmental Textbook Project

IDEA is an initiative that strongly supports dialogue and action among youth in addressing global environmental problems. One of the main directions of its activities is the acknowledgement of the role of early education in ensuring peoples’ environmental-friendly behavior and actions. Maiden Tower Birdhouses Installed in the Downtown of Baku

In spring 2012 during the renovation works at the Maiden Tower, – the main landmark of Baku and a 12th century cultural monument, - workers came across numerous bird nests. Flocks of swifts, highly aerial birds, had built approximately 200 nesting sites on the monument. The reconstruction work could not be ceased, but the start of the conservation process on the Maiden Tower threatened the existence of these nests.
