Jalilabad district joined the first nationwide Green Marathon that was launched on 5th of November 2014.

On November 7, in the framework of “First Green Marathon”, during tree planting actions held with the organization of Executive Body of Djalilabad city, 500 Chinese ash trees were planted on Alat-Astara highway passing through Djalilabad city (143-150th km)
On November 8-11, during daily tree planting actions, held in the framework of “First Green Marathon” with the organization of Executive Body of Djalilabad city, 1100 Chinese ash trees were planted on Alat-Astara highway passing through Djalilabad city (143-150th km).
On November 12, during daily tree planting actions, held in the scope of “First Green Marathon” with the organization of Executive Body of Djalilabad city, 600 Chinese ash trees were planted on Alat-Astara highway passing through Garazendjir village (126-130th km).
On November 15, during daily tree planting actions, held in the scope of “First Green Marathon” with the organization of Executive Body of Djalilabad city, 600 Chinese ash trees were planted on Alat-Astara highway passing through Alar village (126-137th km).
On November 16-19, during daily tree planting actions, held in the scope of “First Green Marathon” with the organization of Executive Body of Djalilabad city, generally 1500 trees, including 500 maple and 1000 Chinese ash trees were planted on Alat-Astara highway passing through Alar village (126-137th km) and Djalilabad city (143-150th km).
Within "Green Marathon" 9750 ash-trees were planted in Jalilabad district, between 11 March and 5 April.
