Aghstafa district joined the first nationwide Green Marathon project that was launched on 5th of November 2014.

On november 6, with the organization of Executive Body of Agstafa district in the scope of “First Green Marathon” in 458th km of Baku-Qazakh road and Sadiqli forest massive of district 500 trees were planted and current greeneries were served.
On november 8, with the organization of Executive Body of Agstafa district in the scope of “First Green Marathon” in 456-457th km of Baku-Qazakh automobile highway 500 trees were planted and current greeneries were specially served.
On november 15, with the organization of Executive Body of Agstafa district in the scope of “First Green Marathon” tree planting actions were held. In Huseyn Arif street 210 trees, in restored Rafail Asadov street 140 new trees were planted. 1000 trees were planted in Sadigli forest massive that located in the district.
On november 22, with the organization of Executive Body of Agstafa district in the scope of “First Green Marathon” tree planting actions were held. Generally 5500 trees were planted including 250 trees in 460th kilometres of Baku-Qazakh automobile road, 450 trees in 2-3th kilometres of Agstafa-Poylu-Georgia state border automobile road, 4400 trees in Sadigli forest massive, 400 trees in Kohnegishlag forest massive.
On november 29, with the organization of Executive Body of Agstafa district in the scope of “First Green Marathon” tree planting actions were held. Generally 2000 trees were planted including 400 trees in 2th kilometres of Agstafa-Poylu-Georgia state border automobile road, 1600 trees in Sadigli forest massive that is very important for ecological status of district.
In the scope of "Green Marathon" 25600 trees, including plane, kiparis, elm, cypress, acacia, ash, eldar pine and other species were planted in the area of Agstafa region during March 2015.
