11.02.2022On February 3rd, on the occasion of 2022 World Wetlands Day, IDEA, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and WWF Azerbaijan joined a global #WorldWetlandsRun campaign and organized a running event on the Baku boulevard. The running was dedicated to Ghizilagaj National Park, whose wetland area has been included into the list of internationally recognized endangered wetland areas, vital for many fish and marine birds, and, at the initiative of IDEA, designated as a Hope Spot in 2019 under a global conservation campaign of Mission Blue. The organizers thank everyone who signed up and came to this symbolic event to spread awareness for the wetlands.
03.02.2022The year started off with the resumption of one of children's favorite projects The ecological laboratory run by IDEA and Sevimli Bala. On January 22nd, the eco-lab training was organized for the underprivileged children from low-income families of "Könüldə Nur" Public Association for Social Development of Orphans and People with Special Needs. The fun and educational session was dedicated to the nature of the North and South poles, its plants and animal species. Children also learned about polar expeditions as well as fossil formations and how they help us learn so much about the past.
