Goranboy district joined the first nationwide Green Marathon that was launched on 5th of November 2014.

On November 7, in the scope of “First Green Marathon”, at the initiative of Executive Body of Goranboy district, 150 cypress trees were planted on 4th km of Goran-Goranboy motorway.
In March 30-31, in the scope of "Green Marathon" project in the area of Goranboy region, namely along Goranboy - Tartar road and R.Mustafayev street in Goranboy city, 1000 trees including 500 eldar pine and 500 fruit trees were planted.
In the scope of "Green Marathon" project 500 Eldar pine and 500 fruit trees were planted on the sides of Goranboy-Tartar road in April 2, 2015.
Within "Green Marathon" 7600 trees, including Sycamore, olive, Eldar pine, cypress, ash, acacia, birch etc. were planted in Goranboy district, between 3-23 April.
