Lerik district joined the first nationwide Green Marathon that was launched on 5th of November 2014.

On November 8-15, during daily tree planting actions, held in the scope of “First Green Marathon” with the organization of Executive Body of Lerik district, 450 trees were planted on 51th, 52th, 53th, 54th km of Lankaran-Lerik highway.
Within "Green Marathon" 6870 trees, including Sycamore, olive, Eldar pine, cypress, ash, acacia, birch etc. were planted in Lerik district, 3-17 April.
