Shabran district joined the first nationwide Green Marathon that was launched on 5th of November 2014.

On November 13-22, during daily tree planting actions, held in the scope of “First Green Marathon” with the organization of Executive Body of Shabran district, generally 4400 trees, including Eldar pine, plane, cypress, elm, ash trees were planted in Heydar Aliyev avenue (back side of regional Department of Statistics, Social Security Fund, Department of Labour and Social Security), on the back side of Heydar Aliyev Centre located on Heydar Aliyev avenue, in Gurtulush park, around the Central Library located on Zarifa Aliyeva street, on the right/left sides of M.A.Rasulzade street and in Gahramanlar park, in city stadium located on Ataturk street, in R.Bahbudov street, in Nizami street, on 105-146th ,125-126th ,132-134th, 136-137th ,140th, 146th km of Baku-Guba highway, on 142th of Baku-Khachmaz highway.
Within "Green Marathon" 7000 trees were planted in Shabran city, between 10 March and 07 April.
