Khizi district joined the first nationwide Green Marathon that was launched on 5th of November 2014.

On November 7, during daily tree planting actions held in the scope of “First Green Marathon” with the organization of Executive Body of Khizi district, generally 3500 trees were planted in Gilazi settlement.
Within "Green Marathon" 3000 trees were planted in Khizi district, between 14 March and 31 March.
Within "Green Marathon" 1400 trees were planted in Khizi district, between 1 April and 7 April
