Khojali district joined the first nationwide Green Marathon that was launched on 5th of November 2014.

During daily tree planting actions held in the scope of I Green Marathon with the implementation of Executive Body of Khojali district , 870 trees were planted including plane, cypress,Eldar pine, leandra, American tuya, apple, pear, plum, cherry, apricot species in Heydar Aliyev Park in Goranboy district, Khojali district “YI No.58” LLC, Ashaghi Aghdjakand settlement, Yukhari Aghdjakand settlement, Meshali village, Boru settlement, in yards of some enterprises, offices and organizations. In the framework of Marathon, during october-november months generally 12337 trees were planted.
Within "Green Marathon" 13334 trees, including Sycamore, olive, Eldar pine, cypress, ash, acacia, birch etc. were planted with the implementation of Executive Body of Khojali district, between 10 March and 10 April.
