Khojavend district joined the first nationwide Green Marathon that was launched on 5th of November 2014.

On November 8-15, during daily tree planting actions held in the framework of “First Green Marathon” with the organization of Executive Body of Khodjavand district, generally 960 trees, including plane, cypress, Eldar pine, thuja, palm, fir were planted on the edge of the roadside of Khodjavand - 320-family settlement (0,4 km and 0,65 km).
Within "Green Marathon" 820 sycamore trees were planted in Khodjavand district, between 11 March and 1 april.
Within "Green Marathon" 2510 trees, including Sycamore, olive, Eldar pine, cypress, ash, acacia, birch etc. were planted in Khodjavand district, between 1 April and 1 May.
