Ujar district joined the first nationwide Green Marathon that was launched on 5th of November 2014.

On November 5, in the scope of First Green Marathon, with the organization of Executive Body of Udjar district, generally 600 trees were planted , including 240 Eldar pines in the yard of Heydar Aliyev center situated in Heydar Aliyev avenue, 60 Eldar pines in Oguz street, 300 Eldar pines in Heydar Aliyev avenue.
On November 11, in the scope of First Green Marathon, 480 trees, including Eldar pines, pomeganates,planes, quinces and firs were planted in Heydar Aliyev avenue, yard of the Water-Canal office, Anvar Mammadkhanli village mosque, Mususlu village secondary school, Qaradjalli village secondary school number 1 and 2, and Qazyan village administrative territorial unit.
On November 13, in the scope of First Green Marathon, 1290 trees were planted in Alpout village secondary school No.2, Barghushad village hospital and secondary school No.1, territorial representations in Lek, Boyat and Qarabork and Lek, Barghushad, Qarabork, Yukhari Shilyan, Rastaca, Khaladj municipalities, Gulaband, Baghman and Khaladj village secondary cshool, Boyat and Baghman village kindergarten and medical station.
On November 15, in the scope of First Green Marathon, with the organization of Executive Body of Udjar district, generally 1350 trees, including pomegranates, willows, quinces and firs were plantedAlikand, Chiyni, Qaaradaghli and Ramal village school areas Qaradaghli municipality, village hospital, the area of the house of culture and village kindergarten, Gazigumlag village roadside, Gazigumlag village park, village mosque, Flag square and around the hospital named after Zarifa Aliyeva.
On November 17, in the scope of First Green Marathon, with the organization of Executive Body of Udjar district , 60 willow trees were planted in Anvar Mammadkhanli village roadside and 50 willow trees in Mususlu village roadside. Generally 110 willow trees were planted during tree planting action.
On November 18, in the scope of First Green Marathon, with the organization of Executive Body of Udjar district , 700 Eldar pine, pomegranate and plane trees were planted in the yard of Heydar Aliyev center situated in Heydar Aliyev avenue, 20 Yanvar street and around Shahidlar Khiyabani.
Within "Green Marathon" 20426 trees, including Eldar pine, birch, fir, elm, oak and fruit trees were planted in Udjar district, on 10-31 March.
