Gubadli district joined the first nationwide Green Marathon that was launched on 5th of November 2014.

Till November 11, during daily tree planting actions held in the scope of “First Green Marathon” with the organization of Executive Body of Gubadli region, 715 differnet types of trees were planted in the areas of enterprises, institutions, organizations and the building of Executive Body of Gubadli region, areas where internally displaced people inhabited, and in the courtyard of the building and surrounding areas of the administrative-territorial units, in the yards of Gubadli region Education and Finance departments.
On November 13, during daily tree planting actions, held in the scope of “First Green Marathon” with the organization of Executive Body of Gubadli region, 57 various types of trees were planted in the yards of Gubadli region Education and Finance departments.
On November 20-21, during daily tree planting actions held in the scope of “First Green Marathon” with the organization of Executive Body of Gubadli region, 54 different types of trees were planted in the yard of Ashagi Mollu village secondary school named after Isa Mammadov.
On November 27, during daily tree planting actions held in the scope of “First Green Marathon” with the organization of Executive Body of Gubadli region, 20 different types of trees were planted in the yard of Garalar village secondary school.
In the scope of "Green Marathon" 146 trees, such as plane tree, olive, eldar pine, elm, fir, cypress trees, were planted in Inshaatchilar town of Sumgait city, in the yards of the building of the Gubadli region Executive Authority and its administrative-territorial units, in the yard of Garalar village secondary school in Baku, in the area of the school named after T. Mushkanli in Mushfig town of Garadagh region, and the Gubadli city secondary school #1 in Sumgait, and other territories, in March 13, 2015.
In the scope of "Green Marathon" 729 trees, such as plane tree, olive, eldar pine, elm, fir, cypress trees, were planted in the yards of Khidirli and Mardanli village schools, in the yard of Muradkhanli and Khanlig secondary school#1 in the Binagadi district of Baku, in the area of the Gazyan and Khanlig secondary school# 3 in Absheron region, and the Gubadli city secondary school #1 in Sumgait, and other territories between March 14 and April 23.
