Zagatala district joined the first nationwide Green Marathon that was launched on 5th of November 2014.

On November 5-8, with the organization of Executive Body of Zagatala city, during daily tree planting actions held in the framework of “First Green Marathon”, generally 8140 tree saplings were planted, including 290 plane trees, 4735 acacia, 1965 walnut, 880 pine trees , 270 linden, in the area of Zagatala city Yevlakh- Balakan highway, alongside Goragan-Gakh- Zagatala highway and Zagatala -Danachi highway, on the side of Zagatala- Muganli highway, near Gimir village, in the center of Mukhakh and New Suvagil villages, as well as parks and streets of the Zagatala city.
