Gusar district joined the first nationwide Green Marathon that was launched on 5th of November 2014.

Till November 21, during daily tree planting actions, held in the scope of “First Green Marathon” with the organization of Executive Body of Gusar district, generally 8575 trees, including Cypress, Eldar pine, Linden, acacia, plum, cherry, ash, poplar, Sycamore, Leandra, walnut trees were planted on 0-5th km of Gusar-Anig-Laza highway, on 8-th km of Samur-Hazra highway, on 12-th km of Hazra-Sudur highway near schools in Yukhari Zeykhur village, in the area of Gutugan, Adjakhur, Yukhari Galankhur, Nadjafkand, Khulug, Gilah, Ashagi Lagar, Boyuk Murug, Sudur, Kuzungishlag, Mudjug and Zindanmurug villages, near 8th km of Hazra-Zukhul highway, near 2th km of Garatoba-Gilahoba highway, near Yukhari Galankhur-Yukhari Tahirdjal highway, on 16th km of Gusar-Khudat highway.
In the scope of "Green Marathon" 2824 trees, including sycamore, cypress, fir, eldar pine and other species were planted in the area of Gusar region in March 14, 2015.
In the scope of "Green Marathon" 2460 trees, including sycamore, cypress, fir, eldar pine and other species were planted in the area of Gusar region in March 19, 2015.
Within "Green Marathon" 10841 trees, including Sycamore, olive, Eldar pine, cypress, ash, acacia, birch etc. were planted in Gusar district, between 29 March and 27 April.
